The Fall Season

Fall is my favorite season. The colors, the cooler weather the smell of the air is so refreshing. Some say that fall makes them sad because everything is dying but I do not see it that way. I see it as everything needs a rest to regroup and come back ready to face the world again. It is a time of new smells, cool air, leaves changing, falling to the ground and childrens laughter as they play in those fallen treasures.
This year you did not have to take a trip to the high mountain to see the beauty of the colors. All you had to do was look around you. It was breath taking to see the vivid reds, the banana colored yellows, the fruit colored oranges. That just names a few. To see those colors is to be reminded that God is still in control and has only the best in mind for us. We like those leaves need to change...we need to look more to God for guidence and wisdom.
Fall is a time to look and know that even though we were once dead in our sins Jesus died on the cross assure us of endless life in him. We must die daily to his will and ask him for his Grace and Mercy. Let all of us look to the seasons and praise God for everyone that he has given us. I thank him for the beauty of this world in any season but fall is my favorite.

As you can tell because it has been five months since I updated the blog that I am not very good at this and not very interesting either. We are a very much just a stay home do nothing family. I have been told that I need to do better so I will try.
This weekend I have some time on my hands because we were suppose to go to my sister's but Friday at work I started getting sick and by the time I got home there was no way I felt like going. I hope that after Thanksgiving we can go.
I think both of us needed to get away for a few days. Tom feels better but still not up to full scale. I worry about him way too much because I know that he is in God's hands but I am human and can not help it. I know I worry him with my hovering. I have got to do better about that.
This coming week is Thanksgiving. I have always loved this Holiday because I have so much to be thankful for. I love my husband, I have three daughters, a son in law, seven grandkids, good friends, a wonderful church and church family. I am most thankful that God loved me enough to die for my sins on the cross.
We have not made any plans for Thanksgiving yet. We always eat here for supper. This year we will eat earlier because I plan to leave for my sister's house. The girls are not happy about this but I am going to work it out to where we can do both.
